Johnny and the Holy Din
04:17
|
|||
Lyrics by Stonerjazz:
Johnny sitting all alone on a log playin his Magic Accordion just for the hell of it or so seems
that's when i did happened by and to my surprize, got sucked through a crack in time
and began to fly and fly and fly right on by the pillars of the guardians to the land of Zed
where Roy had painted all the monkeys and the parrots red, and turned them into spys Then declared that Music it was dead and put a price on young johnnys head for letting all the Flyers into Zed with his Magic accordian..
They were musician every one, with instruments of every kind making such a holy din and singing loud cacaphony and six part harmonies in the Sky...
Act 2
Oh johnny oh johnny what have you done
oh johnny oh johnny with that magic accordian.
oh johnny oh johnnyeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
hangin by a thread, i thought of somethin someone said
then slipped beyond the pale and walked amongst the shadows of the pine
the southern wind sublime upon my face, the tracks of tears erased, washed clean of any trace
and leaves me to the tiny possibility of Grace.

Spiderwebs
03:23
|
|||
Lyrics by Uziel:
He searched through threads
those bodies struck up in spiderwebs
he cut himself down
tight roped all around
he walk despite the endless evergreen beneath
helping those who were gone
broken compass dial pointing wrong
he hold the auspice firmly
guidance will come
watching changing arrows
red moon call out
the wolves cry up
it's gotten so dark so quickly
will he make it out of here?

Butterflies in Heat
05:04
|
|||
Lyrics by Stonerjazz:
Now Zed it has six moons, the sky is pink and the clouds are blue the waters black and full of trout that smoke and cuss and shout at passerbys with azzure eyes who confidently stroll all about with casual and arrogant distain for everything and everyone.
The trees wear pants with just one leg and hop around gesticulating wildly and obcenely strutting up and down.
While tiny little people there grow out of cracks that appear in giant rocks on summer nights when lightning strikes the ground. Where upon they are set free and drop like ripe cherries from a cherry tree, much to the Glee of local carnivors who Howl and strutt and say in their vernacular how grand it is to have these morsels for the pleasure and their nourishment.
The rats wear suits of hemp and gold and smokes cigars and drive fast cars all custom made on mars with headlights full of tiny little stars. And all the while, the crows hang out in byker Bars.
The sky is down, the world is flat. the truths a like, Birds don't fly, theres no such thing as apple pie, water isn't wet on Zed, and all the dead, they didnt really die, It's just a lie told by some guy.
There are no towns and clowns are specifically Prohibited.
everything that's good to eat grows on the street in bite size chunks of cheese and meat and vegtables with little tiny wings that flap and soar enthuiastically like butterflies in heat.
When Johnny finally got his groove and his accordian was Wailin on some mystic movie theme about the decline of humankind in 2029. He inadvertantly opened up another crack that started bringing something back from Zed..It opened up a gate, it removed a Grate.

Johnny Plays the Blues
04:21
|
|||
Lyrics by Stonerjazz:
Through some inexplicable and somewhat puzzling magical circummstance beyond understanding as we know it; an opening opened amongst the craigs and mists and the protruberances high in the mountains of southern Zed.. And out of the dank and dark and stink of the stank stepped a warrior so fine with a golden accordian that did shine like the sun.
And the musicians all trapped in the sky screamed and they cried for they had lost all their hope and their mojo was gone and they were prepared to die. They were prepared to die..
So Johnny sat down on the ledge in front of the cave so incredibly brave with legs dangling in space and began to play a tune so sweets that even the red parrots and monkeys started to cry, and Roy the despicable despot was Shaken to his shoes and said:
"Hey Johnny, can you play me some Blues??"
All of Zed did head for the byways that led to the mountains that day.. The Azzure eyed twits and all of their brats, the crows in their leathers with beads in their feathers, the Rats in their custom made chevys from mars. Though sadly the Trout had to stay but needless to say, there was a grand party that day when twenty two hundred entered that cave with visions of home, songs in their brains, and hopes in their hearts...And No one suspected the Evil that lay deep in the guts of the southern mountains of Zed..

Intro Lyrics by Stonerjazz:
DEEPER DEEPER DOWN THEY GO
PEEPERS PEEPERS SPYING IN THE DARK
STEEPER STEEPER EVERY STEP UPON THE TRAIL
SINGLE FILE IN LIGHT SO PALE
Interlude Lyrics by Uziel:
I'll turn the skies around
I'll go back up again
Hold on tight for this one
I'll escape into the sunlight
when will my dream start me?
Or maybe I'm just fine?
Welcome to a maladaptive daydream...
Stonerjazz Lyrics Continued:
MONKEY'S HANGING ONTO MONKEY TAILS
HOTTER HOTTER AND IN THE MIDST OF THIS
THE TRAILS SPLIT, TURNED INTO TWO.
JONNNY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, JOHNNY DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE.
THE CROWS SAY "LEFT" THE RATS SAY "RIGHT"
AND THEY BEGIN TO KUNG FU FIGHT.
Middle section lyrics by Zed:
mary
if you are real i'll marry you
if you are real i'll marry you
mary
you were easy to love
or maybe
your love dragged me down
mary
i should leave you alone
you are no dream that i own
mary
if you are real i'll marry you
mary
if you are real i'll marry you
Outro Lyrics by Uziel:
I miss the razzle and dazzle
the trout and the smoke
and all the creatures running amok
I miss the sun's eyes
the moons in the skies
oh... I wish I could see it with you
but I'm stuck here
moving downward to the heart of the core
Zed...
I miss you... I miss you
I miss the razzle and dazzle
trout and the smoke
crows and the feathers all of their beads
rats in the leathers
the smoke and the feathers...
the smoke and the feathers...

Johnny Doesn't Know
07:50
|
|||
Pt. 1 Lyrics by Uziel
Johnny doesn't know what to do
johnny doesn't have a clue
the crows say "left!"
the rats say "right!"
and they began to kung fu fight
Johnny standing in his golden accordion light says:
"stop this now! no need to fight-
half go left and half go right!"
johnny doesn't know
What to do
Johnny doesn't have a clue
Johnny doesn't know
What to do?
He doesn't have a clue what do do
"Half go left and half go right!"
Here comes Roy! The despicable despot!
shaking in his boots...
he still pokes Johnny "play me some blues!"
"oh Johnny! let's end this now! Whatcha' gonna do Johnny?"
"HAHAHA"
"HALF GO LEFT AND HALF GO RIGHT!"
"Hey Johnny can you play me some blues?!"
"Now no, need to fight!"
"Hey Johnny, he he, oh johnny"
Johnny doesn't know, Johnny doesn't know...
Pt. 2 Lyrics by Stonerjazz
away and down and to the right, one thousand pilgrims Trudge into the massive cavern bright with River deep and cold and wide and FAIRIES everywhere in flight glowing with an amber light.
On the River bank a CRONE she squats and waits to collect the toll to cross the bridge that's built of blood and bones and ropes of soul.
She says "I'll have your finger or your toe or a small percentage of your soul. If you refuse i'll take it all. It's up to you, It's just like life, you can't go back, You MUST go through!!

Pt. 1 Lyrics by Sonic Structures and Silent Stretches
the shining stone
deep in the mountains
the golden glow
brought forth by fountains
raising in moonlight
raising in moonlight
the golden note
created a player
weaving the node
to cross the mire
of red-shifting ire
of red-shifting ire
the jet black stone
deep in the mountains
wailing in woe
brought forth steep chasms
sucking up moonlight
sucking up moonlight
night‘s dim vibration
created a slayer
cloaked in delusion
trouble to sire
with red-flaring fire
with red-flaring fire
oh, flyers beware
the world is on fire
oh, walkers beware
of footing the mire
oh, jonny beware
never to tire
never to tire
Bickering bikers boyish bravado..emboldened they sly and Jellyfish Souls.
To Plant a finicky trickity fine bomb.
in the administrational heart of Zed.
in the mountain's monstrous mouthcave
Where Roy resides and cruelty is King.
For fear of ferocoius felines prowling the ring.
Imposed by the iron imposter this fine will ask
each creature looking more than three feet ahead
to forfeit three loaves of of freshly baked bread.
Those that cannot comply will lose the sight in one eye…
Pt. 2 Lyrics by Uziel
Crystalizing at caverns edge
Mouth all shining as we make our descent
We outta be... weary and beware
Perhaps more troubles ahead?
Guided ourselves past the terrors
Into starlight shifting patterns
Of stalactites in space underground
We out to be wary and beware
Perhaps in this beautiful world
More troubles...
Ahead?

Amanita Muscaria
09:13
|
|||
Lyrics by Stonerjazz, with contributions from Sonic Structures and Silent Stretches
I.
Amanita Amanita Aminita Muscaria, we're so happy, we're so happy yes we're so happy that your in the area
Amanita amantia amanita muscaria.
The clinical psychologist says it's in his head
that's why that boy won't get out of bed
He's dreaming of a journey taken to the land of Zed
and a magical Accordion.
Amanita singing songs of the land of Zed
singing songs in Johnny's head.
Amanita Amanita Amanita Muscaria
we're so happy, yes we're so happy you're in the Area.
Well two clarinet players named Sally and Roberta
and a monkey named Steve
came up to Johnny and said
"Johnny we think it's time to leave; we're out of water and we're outa Bread
and all of us are damn near dead.
So Johnny Thought for a moment and he said Okay.
then he sat down on boulder and started to play
that golden magic accordion.
II.
amanita amanita amanita muscaria
A crack appeared in the side of the wall
and exposed a magnificent Hall,
a fountain appeared in the middle, gushing crystalline clear water so sweet and so pure.
And as each traveler had their drink, they did proceed to disappear.
Johnny had a drink and then he woke up in his bed
in his room
in his house
in his state
in his country
in his world.
III.
ln ths welcomeless abode where tenants rights perptually erode
where bills are paid by humiliation and toil.
The air is full of burning oil
Where street lights outshine the moon
And dust has more rights than me
Awoken by faint sirens in the caccaphony
Whow is me who played that accorrdion for free
I fed the starving with golden tune and lifted up the many with melodies refined.
And hope spread golden
In keys made light
Humbled here and squandered in this wretched flight
IV.
Though in a way, this is a comfy place
And quaint.
And yet it feels like restraint that keeps me from the land of Zed
From where I wish I'd never fled.
How I long for how I yearn for rat and crow and monkey too
And even Roy who loves those blues.
And my accordion nowhere in sight occassionally late at night
Sings in the clouds and I remain within my shrouds
While smiling secretly with knowledge of a Gate
In my vicinity.

The Smoking Trout
The Smoking Trout started as a SoundCloud collaborative project by Stonerjazz, Uziel, and Tea Are Sea. Our idea was to jam remotely with friends and tell an epic prog rock concept album story about a guy with a magic golden accordion that transports him to another world. Other musician friends joined in and helped us along the way (see credits under each song for more details!). ... more
